Petro was going off with Joel Goldberg saying he doesn't understand how people say Kyle Davies has 'great' stuff. He says he's never seen Davies make anyone look like a fool at the plate or dominate. I 100% agree with this, he has looked like Jeff Suppan at best. He's never really looked awesome, just another Brave retread that needs a new team.

I agree completely. Some guys dominate for a month here and there, and then they go back to sucking. Some dominate just for a couple of weeks or even just a couple of games. Davies literally throws a couple of dominant-looking pitches and then sucks.

It's not like he's ever even had a game like Hochevar did a couple of years ago when he threw a 1 hit shutout on 80 pitches. As Petro mentioned, his best starts consist of 6 2/3 innings, 2 ER, 5K, 7 hits, and 2 walks. The guy averages something close to 2 baserunners allowed per inning pitched over his career. It's preposterous that he's one of the highest paid players on our team.

What do you expect? The kid is 18 years old. Do you think he should have been sent directly to the major leagues when he was drafted at age 17?
