Nothing is cheap anymore at the supermarket. To eat good food you need to spend a fortune!

The flank steak was $9.99 a pound-used to be around $3.99 on sale or $5.99 not on sale

However, I also bought a rosemary marinated, butterflied boneless leg of lamb that was marked down from $20.72 to $5.80 because they had 10 of them and the last day to sell was today.

I'm going to cook that tomorrow.

Pretty routinely $8.99 here, but still expensive. If I keep a close eye, I can catch it on sale for $6.99 one in a while.

Salad. You hardly need a pic, it's salad!

That's such an easy and tasty thing to do. I always forget about things like this. I need to make a list so I can stop forgetting about things I used to make! I don't like spending a ton of time cooking as we both work full-time, so quick and easy is usually required which is why we grill a lot. I sometimes forget about other quick options like that instead of just putting some meat on the grill. Thanks.

I've been lagging on the cooking

Flank steak is the bomb and unfortunately the public has figured it out. When I was cutting retail meat in the 80's while in college we routinely threw it in to the scraps for ground beef. I checked it today in the meat case and it was $12/lb.

Cooked properly its awesome.

My family has been eating it since the early '70s.

The funny thing is that the wife and I each have our preferred ways to make it. We have to take turns with each recipe. My way is more authentic with the Adobo seasoning. She prefers the Target brand mix of seasonings. Both are good. The Target brand is actually much spicier.

Right now were on her turn for the recipe.:D

ROFL

Jason is a LONG way away from here, so if me managed to get that done, she's probably hiding the fact that she is Flash from me anyway.

Yup, I usually pillage some taco sauce from Taco Bell and save them for Tostada day...

I don't like those canned refried beans though, Don't like the spices... Usually make a small pot of beans in the pressure cooker and then whiz em up in the food processor ...

Tostadas use to be my favorite item at Taco Bell and they shit canned them... I have no idea why

The shell is a little to curled up on the edges for my taste, but other than that it looks great.
