I truly don't understand people that stick up for Grandpa Bob...If I performed half as bad as he has I would have been fired years ago...our defense is an absolute garbage fire and I'm not sure how anyone can argue the other side...

We might have the shittiest run defense I've ever seen. Right up the middle for 5-10 yards minimum almost every play. Right now that's the obvious key to beating the Chiefs. Pound the rock, run the clock, don't turn it over, limit the Chiefs number of possessions. I figured Ragland would improve this year and Hitchens would be a big acquisition and our run defense would be a lot better.

A shitty run D will kill us. Defense is about more than points given up, don't over simplify it. It's also about getting the ball back for your offense. If teams are holding onto the ball like the Titans last year and Ravens last game, the offense has fewer opportunities.

The d-linemen aren't disciplined and gap sound. That leads to offensive linemen getting free looks at our LBs, who also aren't gap sound and aren't good at shedding blocks.

In other words, the answer is "D-all of the above."

Sutton isn’t even that bad. We are number 1 in the league in sacks and we rarely rush the passer. It is just our players who suck so bad. Especially the two safeties

It's Bob's scheme of the defense that's awful.

Bob has a poor mentality of "wait and see" with the linebackers and safeties. Because of that way of thinking, we don't attack.

With 53, 59 & 38 not being the best players, by the time they identify plays, it's too late.

Another major problem with Sutton is he makes adjustments when it's a day late, dollar short.

You need to roll with the punches, instead, he just takes them throughout the course of the game.

Thank goodness it didn't take Bob too long to notice that he was playing Nickel against a run 1st,2nd and 3rd offense.
