Shouldn't you be beating your pecker talking about how TV ratings matter in the conference thread.

You should leave basketball and sports talk to the intelligent people.

He should leave it to idiots who want to move to the SEC.

I only recently began noticing how terrible of a poster you are. Is this a new look for you or have you always been this way?

OU worked over UT tonight. Pretty impressive.

@jerrymeyer247 has KU getting Carlton Bragg, Malik Newman and Brandon Ingram in the 2015 recruiting class that would be an amazing class

Yea saw through other sources too that Self is in the lead for all three.

That would explain some of why we haven't been hearing a lot on the recruiting front so far this year.

I don't know much about those three recruins honestly.

I just watched some of Newman's Mixture on YouTube and he reminds me of a longer EJ.

Ha ha, true. Self has owned Scott Drew.

You can tell his mom is laughing when he fakes the Illinois choice. Gotta feel bad for their fans, though. I don't care for that but they are kids just having a little fun with it, I guess.

Malik Newman plays really really fast. He's a slicer in the lane. Emmanuel Mudiay used his size and strength to get through contact, but Newman glances off contact, not absorbing it, but diverting it. Honestly, the player he reminds me of is Derrick Rose, albeit I seriously doubt he is as fast.

But the kid is legit.

I still think we land Stephen Zimmerman, especially considering that UK already has a 6'11" center, and Zimmerman is all about putting himself in the best position.

I see a class of:

Newman
Bragg
Zimmerman
Dorsey

with the following players leaving:

Oubre
Alexander
Greene

I think Greene will get enough looks from NBA scouts that he'll be a first round pick. And once that kid can get out of college and play professionally, he'll do it. I think he could come back next year and be absolutely dominant, but someone will get in his ear. And truth be told, a 6'7 SG that can drain threes at will has no business not being drafted. He'll be the next Kevin Martin.

Yeah not happening. OU UT and ISU will have something to say about that.

And Forte from OSU will clown suit our perimeter defense.

I agree that it will be tough. But there is something that all KU fans should have learned by now. NEVER underestimate Bill Self's coaching abilities.

Hmmm, not sure I see it with Greene. He needs to learn to play man to man better defense before he's considered a 1st rounder.

I don't think that's necessarily true. People think of being a first rounder or a lottery pick as a declaration of achievement or readiness. All it takes is one team thinking a 6'7 sharp shooter who can come off the bench and already be white-hot is worth a draft pick.

Yes, I realize they draft on potential as much as anything. Still, if all Greene has is 3 point shooting then I don't think he will be drafted that high if at all. Now if he can show some ability to drive/create that's another story. I just haven't seen much if any of that from him.

Bambi 01-06-2015 01:37 PM

Maybe Greene can travel around the country hustling at local bball courts to make a living once he leaves KU.
