IMHO, with Orlando suddenly hitting like an all-star and Eibner showing that he may be able to contribute, Cain's injury isn't as bad as we would've expected at the beginning of the season, and especially what it would've been if Gordon was still out. That's 4 or 5 (with Dyson and Fuentes) that can fill the OF.
But hamstring on a guy like that could keep him out a loooong time. If he's out 2 weeks and re-injures it during a rehab assignment, that's looking at, what, 2 months for a realistic return? |
Beats seeing Young giving up bombs left and right....

Cliffnotes: He began utilizing a cutter around the beginning of June, along with completely abandoning his problematic changeup. Results have been good, putting him up with the elite pitchers for the month of June, though (obviously) through a very small sample size. Literally anything would be able to improve KC's rotation at the moment. |

We only have two more games with the Cardinals we don't need Bud Norris.

Chris Young has given up 21 bombs (highest in all of baseball) and he isn't even a qualified starting pitcher statistically. Max Scherzer has given up the most HR's among qualified starters with 20.
Max has thrown 107.1 innings this year. Chris Young has thrown 53.2. |

Pay special attention to tonight's right fielder:

I understand trying to keep his bat in the lineup but... wow?

Tonight is going to be the first time Morales has played the OF since 2008. I remember him working out there a little bit last year, but never thought it was seriously going to happen. I honestly can't even picture in my head what this is going to look like tonight. LMAO
