well, when I said "game", I obviously meant 9 innings, not games started.

His math is based on 43 strikeouts in 36 innings pitched.

Yeah I just didn't think they would let more than one guy go into super-2 status.

they have the lowest payroll in baseball and very little money committed the next few years. They can afford it.

Also, pitchers are far more likely to get sent back down than position players. If he sticks, good for him, but the odds are against it, vs Hosmer sticking.

I understand and agree with that. I'm just used to the Royals making decisions based on money and this is refreshing.

It was cool to see us make history last night... Just about every news outlet has or is reporting it...

suzzer99 05-17-2011 10:25 AM

Dan Patrick has been talking about it a ton on his radio show.

No it's not cool it's ****ing humiliating. I'm tired of this team being a national punchline.

Just a major hater and a math minor.

Eh, it sucked for sure, but in the grand scheme it's only 1 loss. We're still .500, and that's a shitton better than everyone thought we would be right now, even the most glass-is-half-full fans we have.

As expected, Mazarro is down and Teaford is up.

Not sure how they are going to bring up Duffy, they would either have to put Davies on the 60-day (not 15-day) or designate someone.

Or just cut Davies.

not really. He's 27, one of the worst starters in baseball, and has had tons and tons of opportunity.
