We can say anything we want about each other but when you get right down to it, everyone is different from their persona that they display here. MemyselfI is someones mom or grandma, much like hootie may be Huards bitch, and GoChiefs is someones son (I dont know who would be desperate enough to make that claim though) and Iowanian is someones friend (prolly the same person who claims GoChiefs as their kid)

This is it in a nutshell. Duh-nese normally doesn't bother me in the least, because I stay out of the DC Forum. It's when she brings politics into an otherwise non-political thread on the Main Forum that I have a problem with. And it's not even the political theme that is a problem. It's the style she uses to post her views, which are to incite others into a flame war....the very definition of a troll.

I'm surprised so few people get that.

After reading this thread, I've decided that being a mod isn't all that great.

For what it's worth, I must say I believe today, and always have, that Mr. htismaqe is an excellent mod. Although I understand how some people can view this decision as "singling out" a poster, she was already "singled out". In fact, it's my opinion that she frequently "singles out" herself for her own reasons.

htismaqe, I'm not hammering you about the job you've done as a moderator. I really have no reason to care one way or the other. My point is that we just went through three days of debating this whole thing. And I think that it would have been more fair to remind all posters of that standard and not just her. And it would have been better, IMO, to remind everyone that we will all be held to that standard and not just her.

By calling her out the way you did, I believe it only contributed to the personal acrimony and it enables those who are campaigning to get rid of her for reasons other than the one you warned her about.

I understand the want to address it in a non-specific way. It was my feeling that doing so wouldn't have accomplished what I felt needed to be accomplished. Unfortunately, gut feeling is the only thing I have to go on.
