The way you stated it before made it appear as if YOU and fellow fans didn't give a shit. I wasn't the only one that read it that way, either. Anyway, no offense. |

Too risky. If anything, our assistant coaches could use some tweaking. |
I mean...I have no serious affinity for fatty Mangino...but seriously, who the hell is this school going to bring in that improves the program more than he has? We are talking KU football here.

KU keeps Magino. Period.
He has made them a competitive football program that has a few good years now and then. As stated earlier, KU is a B-Ball school, if Magino can produce a .500 team that gets a bowl every once in a while, he will get a lot more years/cash to use at the buffet. |

To be honest, I'd be happy with a winning record every year and getting into a bowl game. This is a basketball school and it always be. |
Just got home from Manhattan. Thoughts:
1. On the way there, there were 2 of those "1 Kansas farmer feeds 128 people plus YOU" signs. Both had a sign covering the "128 people..." part, which was replaced by "1 Hungry Mangino." HAH. 2. Glad to see the Topeka Jayhawk Club sign vandalized, yet again. 3. KU is back to their rightful place as a football program, in DEAD LAST. Happy to see Mizzou join them to the party as well. 4. Daniel Thomas deserves Big XII Offensive Player of the Year looks. He's playing injured, too. 5. Mack Brown will win Big XII COTY if Texas competes for the National championship, as he should. Bill Snyder should be included in the mix if not. |
KU firing Mangino? Don't make me laugh. No way. Yes, this season is a disappointment, but there is still an outside hope for a bowl game. Sucks, because I was looking forward to this season.
Oh well. I'll still go to KU football games this season and root just as hard as I do for the B-ball team. |

In the words of Barry Switzer..."Y'all had a nice run" |
Mangino has won the games he was supposed to win and maybe one or two he shouldn't have.
As I've stated, and Frazod stated with vitriol, the 07 team was a product of the schedule and they failed miserably to follow that up with what should have been a North division championship. Don't tell me "History Awaits" means anything else. I have seen several KU fans try to tell me they comparisons between the rise of KU football under Fats and the rise of KSU football under Snyder were virtual mirrors. The only problem is, they aren't. At this stage of their careers one coach was about to reel off 4 consecutive 11 win seasons after taking over a team that had no talent, and almost no conference to play in. The comparisons were poor and incorrect then and they are incorrect now. I return you to your regularly scheduled wannabeing. |
