Got a coupon for a free large pizza from LaRocca's here in Topeka.

So, far, I'd say Pizagel's taco pizza is one of my favorites.

When we flew back from KC, we would always drive through Gettysburg first before even dropping the suitcases off

Hmmm....need to remember this.

Risking all rep, I still have a soft spot for the cheese Godfather's used to use, something uniquely awesome about it's chew factor. Ran across a Godfather's in S.IL a few years back and they still had the goods cheese-wise. I hold no pretensions that their product is on par with my picks above overall, but that cheese is like crack to me.

Absolutely on Godfather's cheese. They started doing a mozza stuffed crust that was really good considering what it is. I could get two of those loaded to the gills for under $25.

They've got a place here in town called Pizza World that reminds me almost to the letter of one of my favorite places in Seattle called Round Table Pizza. The Appendanza is pretty ****ing good.

LOL, already touched on this apparently.

Gusano's in JoMo.

Depends on whether you like a thin or thick crust.

I can be in the mood for either/or.

In Houston they have a joint called Russo's NY Pizzeria.

It has a coal fired oven which gives a char to the bottom and a completely different taste than most places.

Good stuff.

I literally went to my hotel... checked in... and went to Giordano's in Chicago when I was there last week.

glad you took my advice to try Pizagels. Now, go try College Hill Pizza. It's now our favorite in town.

Get this: chorizo, shrimp, pesto sauce, roasted red pepper, red onion, and pepper jack cheese. PBJ

Bandera's

Bandera's Pizza in St. Louis, Mo during the 60's. It was in the basement of a house. It was the only place that I have seen with a "C" health rating. It was because of the location not the food. It was always packed. You would see people dressed anywhere from a tux to shorts. They used provolone cheese put on in slices not crumbled. My favorite pizza was salami/sardine. I am sad that I will never have it again. There is no second place.

That's not pizza. That's a culinary abomination.

Here you go.

If you're ever in Olympia/Tacoma area- you gotta eat at Old School.

When in Charleston, SC- it is Andolini's or bust.
