I'm of two minds about Holmgren. There is no denying the improvement of the Seahawks once he took them over, especially considering the mountain of suck they were before that. However, while at Seattle, he signed Trent Dilfer and then traded for Hasselbeck. The QBs he drafted were Brock Huard, Seneca Wallace, David Greene and Josh Booty. While at Green Bay, he traded for Favre and drafted low round guys to develop (admittedly hitting on Brunell and Hasselbeck). When he got to Cleveland, they picked up Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme and drafted Colt McCoy later in the draft. There is a disturbing pattern here.

Obviously,signs were there very early on during their teen yrs that daddy was absent and we know how difficult it is to be a present father and husband as a college and pro coach with all it's demands. But when both his sons got into serious trouble with the law several years ago and he just kept right on going I did not judge him but I did disagree with him that he should have stepped down and put his family first for the first time but he couldn't do it. Not judging the guy but just saying.
