Didn't need to be Carnac the Magnificent to see where that might go wrong. His pitching coach said last evening you don't mess with the meal ticket.

Here's a great article about the game.

My favorite quote:

"We just watched the biggest game of the season, and we had three kids in their young 20s shove it in their [expletive]," Carpenter said. "Huge nuts. Not scared at all. It was awesome to watch. Wacha has made 15 starts. Not scared. Carlos comes in. Not scared. Rosey. Not scared."

Another Carp quote: "I loved Wacha's attitude out there tonight. Reminded me of myself. Just give me the ball and get the hell out of the way".

anyone worried about tomorrow? Waino has a bad day? Bats stay in hibernation? etc.

I'm always terrified. The bats have been shit, Cole owned our ass last game, and Matheny is the biggest of liabilities.

I think the bats wake up tomorrow.

Hopefully Carpenter gets his head out of his ass tomorrow. He's hit like Cesar Izturis this series, and the offense just can't survive without him.

He is the tablesitter. He gets on, the dominos line up and we just need someone to cash in.

Nope. I feel much better now they've had a good look at Cole in the past week. It's all on Waino, and I'm OK with that.

Shit I'm even okay with Kozma starting. Delcasco will blow a ground ball or throw he should make. At least Kozma makes the plays he is supposed to make. In a close game like this will probably be, may be enough not give them 4 outs in an inning.

Sorry Pittsburgh. Dream ends tonight.

BTW, Joe Strauss thinks/has information that we are trading Taveras for Elvis Andrus straight up this winter.

Then a 2013 version of this.
