Well.....the glove is the only reason Bridgewater wasn't the first qb taken.

Bridgewaters college resume, and tape was insane.

I honestly can't believe people still think Jay Cutler is a good QB.

Most people apparently think Nick Foles sucks, you know, the guy who set the single game touchdown record EVER in the NFL. But yeah, I'm sure he won't be better than Alex Smiff.

It's not that Cutler is a good QB; it's that Alex is so underwhelming as a QB that it's not an easy decision between the two.

But he throws really hard!!!!

Yeah, I'd have to put Smiff ahead of Mr. Cutler, though.

He had 3 game winning drives last year and 20 in his career. He's a good quarterback, just not a great one.

And if we're talking about blaming the OL, Cutler has had that excuse ever since he left Denver. Chicago's line is a POS.

His record is 32-19 in the last four seasons.

We'll see if Alex can win with a bad OL. I KNOW Cutler can.

Rasputin 09-03-2014 04:34 PM

I'm not voting for any of them because I want to draft our own Got Damn Quarterback.

He and Stafford can really rack up the yards. I am sure their FF trophies are right next to their Lombardy trophies.

So why aren't they entitled to the same "bad defenses" excuse that Alex gets for the entire second half of last year?

I wasn't aware there was an asterisk next to Smith's win % the last 3 years.

And seriously, bad defense their entire careers? Stafford is 1-32 against teams with a winning record. 1-32 for his career.

You thinks that's all bad luck or bad defense?

Also true to Chief's form, our defense wasn't just bad the last half of the year, it was the worst in football and historically bad. Bad.

Why are you so inclined to give excuses for them... yet not your own QB?

Maybe that's the better question.

The Detroit defense gave up an average of 22.3 pts per game in their final 8 games.

The KC defense gave up 29.8 pts per game in their final 8 games.

Add to that: KC in year 1 offensively. Stafford's had the same OC for the last 4-5 yrs.

Didn't read thru all the stuped ass responses but only 3 QBs have a better win /loss % than Smith over the last 3 years.

Manning
Brady
Rodgers

End of thread !

I also know Cutler has missed 13 games over that time period.
