ROFL at this entire thread, and kudos to DenverChief. For anyone who doesn't know it, he came out ages ago. Regardless, pretty ****ing brave to invite this thread.

He also happens to be one of the cooler, saner people on here in general.

I find that "who gets to be on top thing" hella surprising. Drop trou, measure flagpoles, then find out whether you're pitching or catching?!?

Oh wow, I thought this whole thing was a joke. If I knew he was actually gay I might have asked some real questions.

So are there actually as many gay people as we are told. I hear stats thrown out like "1 in 10 are gay." I don't really believe that, but you are closer to the situation than I am. Is that a realistic number?

It's a tad more complex than that. By the time you are 16,17,18 you have a pretty good idea what you are looking for in a sex partner. Typically guys on the short end of the measuring tape prefer bottoming and seek guys who identify as tops and typically but not always are on the longer end. There are various "titles" of sexual partners. For example you have top/bottom and then there are power top/bottom, Versatile top/bottom and just versatile. Confusing I know.

That actually all makes more sense to me than the tape measure method. You would figure that some would be more alpha male / dominate, while others might be more beta and/or effeminate. Or, at least I'm assuming that guys that act effeminate are typically going to bottom...?

I mean, it sort of works that way with male/female relationships too. Alpha males versus "nicer guy" guys who end up with "stronger personality" (bitchy, or domineering, however you want to describe it) women. I mean, the plumbing stays the same, but the power in the relationship is going to follow those personalities to some degree.

Seems like the opportunity hasn't passed you by.

DC came out of the closet many, many years ago now. LONG before it was trendy or whatever to do so (dunno if it's trendy now, but certainly it is EASIER now than it was when he came out).

Hell, is it even called coming out of hte closet anymore, or is there some new PC phrase I should be using?

How many, if there are any, men or women you personally know are actually closeted? Or any that you think are gay / lesbian but haven't come out?

That's not a bad question, but let me take it a step further, as it's sort of an interesting socio-economic thing:

Has it come to your attention that there are "types" of people who are more likely to stay in teh closet, whether it's people of a certain ethnicity (I remember hearing that it's very difficult from black men to come out), or either high income earners, or perhaps blue collar workers?

Maybe it's cool for Dave the Doctor to come out, but Joe the Plumber? Fuhgettaboutit!

It kind of is, but with the spin that DC is actually gay and can answer some questions.

I thought about a true parody thread, Ask a fat guy anything.

Oh I'm new at being fat. Somehow when I turned 40 and a year and a half later I've gained over 50 lbs and now I'm fat. But I can still see my penis when I take a shower. Cuz 13" is hard to miss .
