Wow, you're still defending him after Sunday? At least you're consistent

Compared to 2015
- our run game failed us this season (RB's tallied 50% less touchdowns)
- OL has been undisciplined in crucial moments
- receivers ranked 2nd worst in dropped passes (Maclin had a horrid year after leading the league in fewest dropped passes in 2015)
- run defense ranks among the worst in the league

Far more glaring issues on this team than our quarterback right now.

Not if you saw the playoff game.

Wide open receivers and Alex refuses to throw the ball. After that opening drive he didn't do jack shit for 3 quarters.

He is easily replaceable.

Alex Smith never was "It" in tag either. Of course he never left base.

5 dropped passes. That's all you need to know.

Why the NFL kind of sucks and also why we are not a powerhouse because we don't have one of these.

And you think Alex Smith is going to be at a high enough level for long enough by the time we get other problems fixed? Do you really think after over a decade in the league, he's going to somehow magically find the fountain of youth and put it together?

Hell, we probably would have won Sunday with Trevor Semen or Matt Moore at QB. Alex Smith is that bad, when absolute nobodies would have done better than him.

Mods :the Tigger experiment has gone too far. Clear trolling, blaming Eric Berry for giving up big plays to put the blame on anyone but Alex. Do you not have standards? Former niner fans converted by the Smithening should not even have access to this forum right now.

What I do know is he's 32 and most quarterbacks play their best football around this age.

Stay the course. When the cheers rain down in a home game after an Alice injury we will have come full circle.

That's not bad vision, that's straight up ****ing cowardice.

He stares at the WR that stays on the line to see if Hill took the defenders away from him and then goes straight to the right.

I'm convinced Alex didn't even have the balls to see if Hill was open.

On that play, I went from "in Alex's corner" to "we obviously need an upgrade because that's a play the QB has to make every time. No excuses."

I'd be fine if they traded Alex for a -whatever you can get- pick, cut Foles and made a move for either Romo, Taylor, Rivers or another guy that would be a possible upgrade.
