Probably not unfortunately, feels like a Burrow horseshoe game to me.

I don’t think it’s a break really. I actually am starting the theory that Purdy is fine and that Shanahan is panicking that he has another Garapolo and he needs a little more juice from the QB even at the risk of less polished play and wants to try out Darnold in an out of conference game.

Therefore, I doubt he's out.

He wants the receiving record. If there’s any ability for him to play without making it worst he’ll go.

Anyone that thinks it's a break...clearly doesn't know the Bengals record against backup QBs.

What is Shanahan when his QB isn't that great? Does he manage to make them better?

No. He goes into a hole and his team tanks.

Ratface Jr. is the most overrated coach in the league, and every time I hear Nick Wright call him the league's best QB whisperer next to Andy Reid, I get very upset with him. That guy ain't no QB whisperer.

Give Ratface an AJ Feeley and I guarantee you he doesn't make the playoffs.

Gets them hurt.

Oh wait, he does that when they ARE playing well also. So I guess the quality of his QB is irrelevant when it comes to hanging the guy out there to dry.

Has he had a great QB? Thought most of his QB;'s have not been that great.

Not sure. There is video of a QB sneak play where the Vikings gave him a helmet to helmet shot. After this play, his performance fell apart. He was pretty good before that. This is from Niners forum…

Before hit: 19 of 24, 252 yards, 1 TD, 0 INT.
After hit: 2 of 6, 20 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT.

He was fine in his press conference. I’m certain Shanahan knows Darnold has a higher ceiling and this a great chance to see what he’s got when it comes to running the offense as intended with possibly added big plays.

What do we think of the Ravens? Interesting team that could be the 2nd best team in the conference.

Monken has done a good job. Lamar has a career high 71% completion, on pace for most passing yards and has been surprisingly efficient.

Their defense leads the league in sacks and is on pace for 70, however a lot of those are from LB's so they're blitzing, which Mahomes destroys.

Starting to think they are the biggest competition for us in the AFC. Not convinced of that but it's growing on me.

I'd say the Ravens are the scariest all around but Lamar has to stay healthy.

I think they're the biggest competition, too.

Overall, I think we are a better team, but the Ravens feature a punishing run game that the Chiefs haven't been tested against yet.

AdolfOliverBush 10-26-2023 01:16 PM

Lamar will always choke in crucial moments, because he is dumb.

Ravens are legit. The big question for them is health, especially for Lamar. But health is a big question for every team including the Chiefs.

**** the Ravens
