Rookie watcher here but Where are the big dogs from this years class? Looks like Ellis is going backwards, Greene, Seldon same stuff from last year. I thought it was a good class this year. They on a learning curve?

No one on this team seems to want to bang in the paint.

Self had them ready at the 2nd half start, why did they stop doing what was working?

Perry Ellis is the biggest pussy I have ever seen dress in a KU uni.

All of a sudden it's becoming clear that his "offense" is more of a burden to us than a positive.

Wiggins dominating again.

Wish we could of had him for two years.

But the kid is legit.

I still think we land Stephen Zimmerman, especially considering that UK already has a 6'11" center, and Zimmerman is all about putting himself in the best position.

I see a class of:

Newman
Bragg
Zimmerman
Dorsey

with the following players leaving:

Oubre
Alexander
Greene

I think Greene will get enough looks from NBA scouts that he'll be a first round pick. And once that kid can get out of college and play professionally, he'll do it. I think he could come back next year and be absolutely dominant, but someone will get in his ear. And truth be told, a 6'7 SG that can drain threes at will has no business not being drafted. He'll be the next Kevin Martin.

You've earned a lot of credit with this post after tonight's game.

Well played.

He's been brilliant these past seven games.

The injuries to the Wolves' top 3 starters has really forced him to accelerate his development, and it's finally starting to show, I think. He's turning into a good scorer.

Beginning to think Cal struck gold this season with a majority of his team simply not performing well enough to go pro and has his choice of 8-9 NBA players at his disposal.

When we land Bragg tomorrow everything changes. Back on top baby.

Selden also thankfully bothered to show up for the last 2 minutes, wouldn't have won without that. And the less said about Perry Ellis, the better.

Traylor was out****ingstanding. He singlehandedly defeated the zone. Nobody could seem to get any space until he found the soft spots. AFAIC that was his best game as a hawk.

If I were an opposing coach, I'd throw the ball to whomever Ellis is guarding and tell them to make a fast hard move to the bucket. KU wouldn't win another game. Christ.

Greene was good, but my Christ he had some terrible defensive possessions out there. Damn man, at least move your feet a little bit now and then.

Cliff had a decent game. He came with some physicality. His problem is he isn't comfortable scoring from the post if he isn't open. Look up some TROB highlights. That dude could score on a triple team. Alexander has kicked it out with a man on his butt and no double coming. This is as weak of a frontline as Self has had in his tenure. I miss Danny Manning. :(

Oubre contributed an awful lot. That's about as good as you can expect a freshman to play.

Bottom line, though, we needed this one. Bad. Glad we picked it up.

That game was only a remarkable 52 possessions. Lowest in the Self era (closest was 54 last year at Tech) and the lowest I've ever seen. Baylor intentionally slowed that game down to a snail's pace, while their zone stopped KU from getting quick easy shots.

Considering that, KU's offense was actually pretty good.

Yeah they had a lot of good offensive looks. That being said, Baylor should have won by double digits. As bad as we were, they were worse. They had us smoked on several possessions and managed to **** it off. I mean, yeah, Scott Drew, but damn.
