it's funny awhile back you guys were talking about an Elky and then the new big hideous GOLD badges...lol

I've got one badge above my lp and it's chrome.

thought about painting them black....

I don't mind the gold badges, just not on my black truck lol.

I wouldn't do a thing to those wheels except find some center caps

I finally hit 3.9 seconds in 0-60 with my new tires and the A8 tranny. Manual? I'd had no chance.

Pushrod ftw~

A 2V GT with a P1 probably makes 350 to the wheels. I've owned a few painfully slow.

So it's not a muscle car, or a cool truck and it's got 1980's horsepower (IE: a new Toyota can blow me away) but thought a few of you might remember\like this.

Actually its the second one I have owned, the previous one was in the mid 90's. This one came from upper Minnesota and I trailered it home to New Jersey last week. Today I got a chance to clean all the 1,400 miles of dirt off her.

It's got 60k original miles, for those that don't know it's a 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSi (AKA Mitsubishi Starion)

It can go fast

And it's a z71 and is squirrelly on the highway compared to my truck.

Like it rides so much differently my daughter can notice the difference

So heres an update on my truck

After 22 days they gave me my truck back with a new transmission that shifts terrible and I still have the same noise in the left front.

My seat is also still missing the bolt they left out that I showed them was missing...

Then they called me before I had a chance to call them and tell me they hadn't gotten the serial numbers off the transmission and couldn't get paid.

I let the guy have it and then told him they could wait to get paid.

Haven't been back

Mind sharing what you paid for it?

Turbo & Intercooled. All "widebodies" 1986 to 1989 like this had both, most of the previous models they call flatsides (no wide fenders) had just a turbo no intercooler. 1988 & 1989 final years were the best models.

This was $7,500 for the car but of course it cost more total than that (rented a uhaul truck and full trailer) to get it from Minnesota to NJ. Didn't think twice about the distance as I knew I would have to look coast to coast for a nice one.
