3 runs would be awesome. I'm not 100% sure on this but I think Hendricks is undefeated this year when getting 3+ runs of support.

At best it's a 50/50 assuming Kluber isn't in God Mode.

Pretty much.

Maddon has a perfect 2 hole hitter but he goes with Bryant who is your best power hitter and swings and misses quite often at breaking pitches and now he's going with Schwarber, assuming Rizzo isn't blowing smoke up everyones ass, who has a bum knee.

I can only imagine that Maddon is thinking that Schwarber has looked like his most patient hitter, but what in the actual **** is wrong with 1) Fowler, 2) Zobrist, 3) Rizzo, 4) Bryant, 5) Schwarber???

I'd really like to know his thinking? Is he thinking that because its the AL that his 9 hole hitter wont be a pitcher so the #2 spot will be a more traditional RBI spot over the course of the game? Because I have to imagine that will be where Baez is hitting and right now I'd rather have ****ing Arrieta at the plate.

Your game 6 home plate umpire:

My belief is to generally give your best OBP guys the most PA's. Obviously there are other factors in lineup-building, but I think fans get more hung up in the entirety of it than they should.

With the exception of batting Esky leadoff, **** that shit.

siberian khatru 11-01-2016 02:15 PM

Dammit, Joe, we done showed you last year how to properly use Zobrist to win a World Series.

I agree, I believe it to be more optimal to preference OBP than OPS when compiling a lineup. Maddon seems to prefer the latter (as do many in analytics).
