Speculation on oil began as a result of an exemption that Goldman Sachs received in 1991, arguing that oil should be allowed to be speculated upon like agricultural commodities.

If the Bush family and their oil background never started those wars in the middle east, where would the cost of oil be at right now?

How much oil does Korea have? How many times have we sent our armed forces there to shut down their WMD program in the last 15-20 years?

Well, if we don't drill in ANWR, or at least the Gulf (others will drill it no matter what we do!!), we might as well just get used to the prices. I figure I won't be the first in the dumper over gas prices, but not the last either so I'm not that worried. When folks can't get to work or businesses hurt even more because all people can do it afford to eat and put gas in their cars, perhaps the tree-huggers will see the light. Wishful thinking... Our self-righteous government is just being silly IMO.

We fight over Oil. Thats no secret. However, no president has ever controlled the price of it. The thought of this is ridiculous.

I'm not sure what you are not buying. Iraq did invade Kuwait. Was our decision to defend The Kingdom and retake Kuwait mostly about oil?
