Anyone who embarrases the Cowboys on their home field is a friend of mine.

I want me some Le'Ron McClain something fierce.

I think it would be funny as hell if the Patriots signed Randy again, just to show Bills genius.

Does anybody know or have a link to what the situation is with rookies? Did they get a "slotting" system like the NBA? Curious what the mechanism is for keeping contract dollars low while still getting them in camp.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reports a Kevin Kolb trade to Arizona is expected to be completed by the end of the day.
The Cardinals have made "substantial" progress on a new contract for Kolb, according to NFL insider Adam Caplan on 97.5 the Fanatic in Philadelphia. The Eagles will be receiving Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie in return, though the exact draft pick compensation is still unclear

Carolina Panthers WR Steve Smith met with general manager Marty Hurney and head coach Ron Rivera Wednesday, July 27, and said he wants to remain with the Panthers. The Panthers, in turn, have taken him off of the trading block. Smith told ESPN's Adam Schefter Thursday, July 28, that he wants to be with the Panthers until he retires. Smith has two years remaining on his contract, making $7 million this year and $7.5 million next season. It is not clear if the Panthers are considering giving Smith a contract extension or raise.

He is awsome. We have two shutdown guys. I think it is the best tandems we have had since Carter/Hasty in their prime. I don't know why anyone would want to replace him. Maybe they want 3 shutdown guys?

Micjones 07-28-2011 10:02 AM

If Carr weren't playing opposite of Flowers I think more people would appreciate just how good he is.
