I hesitate to criticize it since it worked for us, but I probably would've tried the long field goal here. However, with three timeouts and a stout run defense, I guess I can't question the call because we stopped the opponent on three plays, got the punt in good field position, and drove to the winning field goal on a one-minute drill.

That Anchorage-Denver game is crazy.

I outgained them 2 to 1, yet needed a FG to in OT 13-10.

Question: is the ball placement correct on this penalty? Shouldn't it be from where the ball was downed and not the line of scrimmage?

The logic worked as intended here. This one was really close in terms of the decision. A yard or so closer or not having that many time outs and the decision would have been a FG attempt. Eventually we'll get a set up so the owners can set their own preferences.

Cool. Like I said, it worked, so more power to the logic. My eyes widened when I saw the punt, but they then tried to run up the middle against us, which is our strength, and we got the ball back and won the game with less than 30 seconds left. Good call by the coach there.

I'm already thinking about how fun it will be to upgrade my roster for next season (provided we're keeping these rosters/this league).

Need to target #2 RB, add a top CB and top S, add a RT, get a little depth at TE and DT.

As I was reading through the play by play, I thought it was that 4th down play that cost us the game. In reality, it probably should have.

I know what you mean. I have been on that for a bit.
I chose my team with an emphasis on youth. We picked up a few vets to fill holes, but about 90% of my team is under 26.
My plan was/is to replace Plax, pick up a young horse to team with Matt Forte, fill one or two more iffy situations (OLB, S) and have a young team ready for a five year run.
Just the idea is even awesome.

Yikes. I guess I need to handle a tie a little differently than when one is trailing.

Richmond is curious why SFL League 1 Defensive Player of the Year Curtis Brown seems to be unavailable for the playoffs when he played in every regular season game.

Anchorage has the same issue with "super sub" QB Greg McElroy.

Columbia has the same issue with defensive lineman Terrell McClain.

Were these guys on the practice squad or IR or cut by the end of the season?
