He has one of the highest winning percentages in history!

To the contrary he would have gone to the SB with the Browns if Byner hadnt fumbled on the goal line. NOT Martys fault. Would that justify all the other wins after? Shula didnt win another SB in 22 yrs till he retired.

Word.

Drew Souchier on channel 9 (NBC) news here in Denver also reported the same news that they received from their NBC affiliates in KC..

Surprised ESPN hasn't heard of this..

So what's the update in this thread?

Is Shanny a realistic possibility?

Yes. He has been for some time now.

Oh they have. They just don't give a crap about KC. They are too focused on worshiping the Cowboys.

Get over the inferiority complex. Yesterday the Chiefs "supposed" interest in Haley was the 2nd topic discussed on both ATH and PTI.

What news?

Also what about the "Rooney Rule"? Pioli can't hire anyone without the job being officially open. Then he has to interview a minority candidate. Herm doesn't count.

This IS truly the best scenario that could happen with the Chiefs. The best GM + the best coach available. Shanahan's teams were dominant even before he was GM. Without those worries, he'll have us in the playoffs in 2 years. And for all you "gotta groom a QBOTF" guys, he's your man.

Right now, I will puke if Shanny is Chiefs coach. I'm anxiously awaiting to get Whitlock's opinion. JWhit may sway me to accept this.

Shanny has been in the cards of nearly a week or more. That is fact. It has been proven he has talked with the Chiefs about the job. While the National media ran around lost with their heads stuck in the ground making up stories about Todd Haley, the Chiefs have only been worry about Shanahan and possibly Cowher. Wouldn't surprise me they have already dealt with their Rooney Rule candidate also.
