If you don't want Romeo as HC that's fine.

There are good arguments to be made there. Personally, I'm worried our D will take a step back.

But to make excuses like age is BS.

"It can't be done because it's never been done."

That's not a good reason to avoid something - it's the reason to do it...

I honestly can't believe I'm hearing this reasoning after all the debates over drafting first round QBs on here in the last 5 years.

It's early (or late for some of us) but I'm not sure I follow.

I don't think we can't draft a QB just because we haven't.

I don't think it's impossible for Pioli to change his MO and trade up.

I don't think it's impossible for a team that hasn't won a playoff game in 2 decades to win one.

LMAO. Each 64 year old head coach is different, with his own set of independent variables.

I'd argue they are less different than a team comprised of many individuals.

Here is a good comparison:

Head coaches 60 and over who won Super Bowls: 3 (Ewbank, Vermeil, Coughlin)

Quarterbacks 35 and over who won Super Bowls: 4 (Elway, Plunkett, Staubach, Unitas)

Maybe we could trade for Manning and hire Romeo, though. Let's spit in fate's eye.

I'd argue Romeo, DV, and Marv Levy are about as different as HC's get.

I always thought Marv would flop out with a heart attack on the sidelines.

What are the odds of drafting a top 10 QB and him winning a SB?

What are the odds of getting married and not getting divorced?

What are the odds of having a child without any type of abnormality?

There are no guarantees in life...

This is amusing. LMAO

Crennel used The Gladiator to help get his team ready for this game. He'd seen it last weekend in the hotel, before the Chiefs played the Jets, and he took some Russell Crowe into the Saturday night team meeting with him. "I told the team that, like the gladiator, we were going to play a great team in Green Bay, and no matter what comes out of these gates, we've got to stay together,'' Crennel said. "We did that. I told them after the game, 'Everyone expected us to die with honor today. But we're not ready to die.' ''

And he beat an undefeated team.

I don't care if he threw pop-tarts at the cheerleaders.

Win is win is win is win...

If we had used this reasoning throughout history we would still be living in caves.

At face value, your argument has merit.

When one realizes that you're against Romeo Crennel because you're FOR Jeff Fisher, it yanks quite a bit of legitimacy from your argument.

History suggests that NEITHER Romeo nor Fisher would win a Super Bowl with the Chiefs. You can't have it both ways.
