NIN was something prior to the remake.

And no...he didn't exactly "gush" over it. Look into it more. The interviews I've read/seen from him regarding the remake have indicated an opinion of being mixed in terms of his feelings regarding it.

I love what Fargo did with BS' original in the season finale this week. If for no other reason than I can wait for my parents to watch it, then tell them 'that's why Ozzy is a rich man.'
