I skimmed thru MIA's game vs. CIN (first half), and MIA's OL is leaky. LT doesn't do a good job of keeping DEs from getting to the outside, The RT is not much better. RG looks sketchy. Think those are the rookies. CIN DEs were able to consistently defeat these guys through the first half. They weren't getting sacks because the MIA plan was getting the ball out as early as possible, but it made a hash of the run game for MIA and Tua had to move his feet a lot. Nearly every passing down that he needed to make more than one read.

We better. Devante Parker is basically the only reliably good player they have on offense. No reason we shouldn't dominate them defensively.

Gesicki and Williams aren’t scrubs.

Gesicki has some skills. After the catch he looks a little like Kelce. Probably trying to model his game after Travis.

Our defense has holes, but the one thing we've been able to do is contain "running quarterbacks" as of late. Tua is going to be good, but not this Sunday.

It sounds weird to say it, but our offense is going to have to show up against the Dolphins and their defense (and how they played against Baltimore and Buffalo and those defenses on the road is a great sign).

Williams is still on IR IIRC.

MIA defense gave up 31 pts to both BUF and SEA, 28 to the Rams, 31 to ARI, and 29 pts to LAC.

None of those offenses are anywhere near the same efficiency as the Chiefs. The closest might be SEA or BUF.

And MIA hasn't played a decent QB in over a month, and haven't played a top 5 offense since SEA.

This might be a smoke and mirrors situation. Their defense has played pretty well since their bye week in week 8, but they've only played Goff and Kyler, and haven't played a good offense since.

Judging from the film, to generate consistent pressure they have to bring extra men and blitz, and we know you can't blitz Patrick. And their CBs are good, but none of them are good/fast enough to go 1v1 with Hill, and no one can go 1v1 with Kelce.

If I were Andy I'd try to attack using misdirection (Dolphins defense looked susceptible to overrunning plays), stretch the field horizontally and look for big plays on crossers. Try to blow the game open early, and lean on the run game to salt the game away.

MIA may have a good/great defense, but their offense looks kind of simple, they have maybe two or three legit weapons, and none of them are RBs. Find a way to lock down Parker and Gesicki, and make Tua throw to anyone else. Even if they can move the ball down and score, it won't be fast enough to match KC.

But honestly, i think Spags feasts on Tua and this MIA offense. If Mathieu plays, he could have a career-type day.

Shit. That’s right. Gesicki is good though.

I don’t think Tua is gonna be anything special. He doesn’t do anything great. I wonder if Flores will mix in Fitzpatrick somehow or something exotic like that to throw us off guard btw

Yea they still have a solid group of weapons, but I’d be more nervous if it were Fitzpatrick starting. They just aren’t giving Tua the trust to let him sling it.

Wish we could have kept Ogbah and dumped Okafor!

Hindsight.... but yeah

Okafor with double the sacks that Frank has :(

Red Dawg 12-11-2020 06:44 PM

Tua is a rookie with like 5 starts. We should be able to step on him early and crack his soul.

That sucks. We had him.

I’ve probably saw more talking heads pick the Dolphins to win than any Chiefs opponent since Baltimore, week 3.
