Agreed. Has to be the "interview" at Arrowhead that made them skittish about picking him and getting all that bad locker room baggage along with the talent.

It's not apples to apples but I've interviewed 100's of candidates. I can tell within 5 minutes if they would fit in with the rest of the techs in the shop. We have rejected people with elite skills just because they didn't fit with our team. That has to happen in every company.

Why wouldn't Andy and Veach consider that too when evaluating bringing in talent to the team?

Yup. I mean he’s directly said he hates running short routes. That is kryptonite to Reid. Everyone knows this guy had first round so every team passed on him at least once and who knows how much further he falls if tomlin, who would recruit guys out of prison if you let him, didn’t take a flyer on him

I guess that magic is gone forever now and he'll just try hitting on one pick per year, which is no way to survive in the NFL as every other team gets better. It doesn't matter if you have the best wide receiver in the league if Mahomes is running for his life on every down and they can't run the ball.

What? LMAO...

Nice to know that YOU would take Pickens and all his issues. You who only has to sit on his ass and watch the production on the field.

You who doesn't have to spend every day with him in practice.

You who doesn't have to bunk with him in camp.

You who doesn't have to monitor his behavior in the WR film room like a kindergarten teacher.

You who doesn't have to wake up on a Tuesday and see that he's talking shit about his teammates on social media.

You who doesn't have to cater to his ego that is more fragile than tissue paper.

You who doesn't have to scheme up plays to take into account that you have one guy who isn't going to block or try hard if the ball isn't coming to him.

You who doesn't have to deal with locker room chemistry getting poisoned.

No, but that's a risk you're willing to take! It's very noble of you making that sacrifice.

Yeah we know, you hate Tomlin, you can stop repeating it now.

There was probably some relief when Tyreek left. They'd take him back in half a heartbeat. Less than enthusiastic about stepping into a situation multiple times more edgy

New World Order 12-24-2023 11:47 AM

Let’s draft more high character crappy players.

Similar to what Scott Pioli liked

That’s different from a draft pick you try to build around. And Toney isn’t a bad dude… he’s just not always the most motivated.

Its not like Reid brings in only angels. But he does a ton of homework. Like he did with tyreek and kelce and josh Gordon. And like he undoubtedly did with Toney considering the last 2 major free agents he brought in came from Kafkas Giants

So again, Reid brings in players with issues and either rehabs them or gets rid of them?

You're so all over the place here.

We have the best draft history in the league but tell me more about how we draft high character crappy players as if that's the only other option than drafting a head case.

Yeah, my bad that I didn't clarify that I wasn't talking for Veach/Reid and that my posts are just my opinions. I know it can get confusing on this message board. Sorry.

Kiimo 12-24-2023 11:53 AM

Yeah the subtext is that I'm confused, not using your post to illustrate a point

Dude, we had Tyreek here. Pickens would be fine in kc. He’s not fine in qb hell Pittsburgh.

Rainbarrel 12-24-2023 11:53 AM

In case life hasn't shown it clearly. When men get older their tolerance level drops a tad
