English Teacher Charged With Sexual Assault of a Student: 'You're My Baby Boo!'

A Wisconsin high school teacher is facing charges of sexual assault following an alleged sexual relationship with a student, including on the night of her husband's bachelor's party.

Sara Domres, a 29-year-old former teacher at the New Berlin West High School, was charged last week for sexual assault of a student by school staff following an alleged relationship with a 16-year-old lasting approximately ten months.

According to the criminal complaint, the sophomore was in Domres' English class, where they became fast friends, and texted each other frequently, the police report stated.

During their relationship, lasting between April 2015 and January 2016, they reportedly exchanged over 1,100 messages. One of the many text messages said, "I love being your baby boo. (heart emoji) run away with me!!! I want you forever," according to the criminal complaint.

According to the police statement, the boy was allegedly "a virgin prior to having sexual intercourse" with the teacher.

One of the counts she is being charged with was for an encounter in Domres' car in a park-and-ride lot in July, according to the criminal complaint. The boy was 16 at the time.

The other count she is being charged with responded to their encounter in a Motel 6, where she had paid for a single bed with cash, and it was discovered that the boy's phone was connected to the WiFi on the same day, authorities said.


According to police, a message was sent the night before: "You're extremely attractive to me!!! I can't wait for our night we are doing it no matter what!!!"

However, the boy as well as witnesses reportedly told the police that the couple had sex more frequently than the two instances. According to WISN, they even had sex on the night of Domres' now-husband's bachelor party.

The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Domres was married in August, in the midst of her relationship with the student.

The police report also said that the couple had passed handwritten notes "of a sexual nature" to each other. One of them allegedly read: "I want to do you (smiley face) NOW!!"

According to a police report, three juveniles reported the relationship on January 16.

Police later uncovered multiple Internet searches from the student's phone from the previous day, the police report stated. One was a Yahoo search for, "how to delete a sent snapchat?" Another was a google search for "what evidence does a judge need to charge a teacher with sexual assault."

The school had reportedly discovered the relationship sometime in January and she was immediately let go.


Domres was released on $1,000 bail following the arrest, on the condition that she has "no contact with victim/witness/and family members, New Berlin West High School, students or staff listed in the Criminal Complaint," the Wisconsin Circuit Court noted on their website.

She has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and her next hearing is on May 4.

Her attorney has not yet provided a comment.

A former teacher’s aide and coach at Conestoga High School was arrested for allegedly having sex with one of her students, police announced Thursday.

Christine Towers, 26, of Phoenixville, is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old male student over the past month, according to the criminal complaint. Towers has been charged with institutional sexual assault, endangering welfare of children and corruption of minors.

Police said Towers was a teacher’s aide and athletic coach, coaching softball and other sports, at Conestoga High School during the time of the alleged sexual abuse.

However, Tredyffrin/Easttown School District Superintendent Richard Gusick said in a letter to parents that Towers was only employed by the district from September 2014 through February 2016, and that Towers no longer works for the district in any capacity, as of April 19.

Tower’s attorney, Cary McClain, of the McClain Firm in Ardmore, said that these allegations of any inappropriate conduct, which he refutes, allegedly occurred outside the time period that Towers was a teacher’s aide at TESD because she was no longer working as a teacher’s aide in March. McClain said he is also conducting his own investigation into the allegations against Towers.

“Ms. Towers is a good person,” McClain said. “She’s an educated, hard worker, and she maintains her innocence.”

Gusick said that while Towers was employed by the district, she had worked as a paraeducator. In the 2014-2015 school year, she coached eighth-grade girls’ soccer and seventh-and eighth-grade track at Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School, he said. Towers also worked in the district’s extended school year program in the summer of 2015, he said. This school year, she coached JV girls’ soccer, ninth-grade girls’ basketball, and JV girls’ softball, all at Conestoga High School, he said.

Police received a child abuse report from the Chester County Department of Children, Youth and Families on Monday with details about the alleged abuse. Police interviewed the victim at the Chester County Children’s Advocacy Center in West Chester on Tuesday.

The victim told police he was in a sexual relationship with his teacher’s aide, Towers, police said. The victim met Towers and began a personal relationship with her when she was giving him one-on-one tutoring classes at Conestoga High School during the 2015-2016 school year, police said.

The victim told police that the relationship turned sexual on March 17, when Towers reportedly open-mouth kissed the victim and used tongue; the victim said that between approximately March 17 and April 16, Towers allegedly had unprotected sexual intercourse with him on four separate occasions within the confines of Chester County, police said. The victim said Towers had urged him not to tell police about their sexual relationship, police said.

Gusick said Towers had no prior criminal record history when she was hired by the district, and she resigned from all positions before the district was informed of any investigation or charges. He said the matter was reported directly to law enforcement officers, and school officials were notified after their investigation was complete. He said the district currently does not have any information indicating that Towers was inappropriately involved with any athletes she coached or that any adults in the school district were aware of this situation. He said the district is ready to assist any students needing support as a result of learning this information or from having known Towers.

“When those placed in positions of supporting our children are charged with violating a fundamental trust, it is deeply disturbing to us all,” Gusick said. “The welfare of our students remains a top priority. We will continue to support all students as this case moves through the criminal justice system.”

Towers was arraigned Thursday morning, and she is free after posting bail set at 10 percent of $50,000. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 11 a.m. on May 27 at Magisterial District Judge Analisa Sondergaard’s court in Wayne.

Towers’ arrest is the latest in a string of scandals at TESD that have resulted in criminal investigations.

Last month, three Conestoga seniors on the football team were charged with assault for allegedly sodomizing a freshman student with a broomstick. Conestoga High School’s former football coach, John Vogan, announced his resignation after this hazing incident.

A sexting scandal at TESD led to criminal charges being filed against three students last November. Tredyffrin police announced on Nov. 3, 2015 that three juveniles had been charged with the distribution of what they called “child erotica, nudity, child pornography and pornography.”

A 49-year-old Pennsylvania substitute teacher who had recently served as the head of her Lutheran church’s council was charged Tuesday with institutional sexual assault after she allegedly was caught in a cemetery having sex with a 17-year-old student earlier this month.

A police officer found Kelly Aldinger having sex with the teenage boy in a parked Chevrolet Equinox in Easton Cemetery on the afternoon of May 6, according to a police news release viewed by LehighValleyLive.com.

Aldinger was arraigned Tuesday morning and sent to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail. If convicted, Aldinger faces up to seven years in prison. Statutory rape charges do not apply because the age of consent in Pennsylvania is 16.

Aldinger had first met the student, now a junior in high school, when he was in middle school and had taught him at some point. They allegedly began a sexual relationship in 2015, court documents said.

Aldinger, who has at least one child, currently lives with her parents; however, she previously lived with a husband, LVL.com reported. It’s unclear if she’s still married. She said in court she had no previous arrests.

Her employer, Source4Teachers, announced she was suspended. Aldinger had worked at Easton High School as a substitute.

“Once the police notified us of the circumstances, we immediately called Source4Teachers and told them they needed to make sure she’s off their list until they investigate the matter through the Easton Police Department,” Superintendent John Reinhart told LVL. “Needless to say, she’s banned from substitute teaching in our schools.”

Reinhart said if Aldinger pleads guilty or is convicted, her teaching career is over.

“She’ll never work if these charges remain,” he said. “She’ll have her license pulled.”

Aldinger was in charge of Christian education, worship, music, Sunday School and Vacation Bible School as the council president at St. Paul III Lutheran Church, LVL reported. It was not clear if she held any current position with the church, but church bulletins viewed by LVL showed her in the role last fall.

A preliminary hearing was scheduled for May 31.
