Royals finally get a game on national tv on FOX and guess what, they have ****ing Cardinals on as well so nobody in Missouri outside KC gets to see the game tonight.

That team is stating to become very interesting, with Adam and Ventura both pitching there now and Yambati soon to join. Hopefully, Eibner is back sooner than later.

Cheslor Cuthbert has had a pretty strong start to his time there, too. He has 2 HR and 5 RBI in 7 games so far, and is OPSing .882 at age 18. He's consistently 2-3 years younger than most of the other players at that level.

Any word on Lamb? Also, any idea why Dwyer has been so terrible this year?

Early speculation on Lamb is maybe Tommy John surgery. No one knows yet though, maybe he isn't hurt badly. If he does need surgery, he's out most of 2012 and will be full strength in spring 2013. Dwyer is having a rough time in AA, but its still just a couple months. If he fails, he fails. Its why its impressive that we have elenty zillion good prospects, even given normal attrtion, we'll have a lot of good players soon.

This is starting to get funny. Who wants to be a starting pitcher, raise your hand!

I'd prefer Paulino in the pen since he has control issues...

Really hope Lamb is ok, that would be a blow

Lamb likely is having Tommy John surgery. Not the massive blow it once was. Might slow his arrival time by a year or 18 months, but shouldn't affect him, really, long-term.

Honestly, it might even help him. He's been sitting at 91-93 in the past. It's not uncommon for guys to come back from Tommy John throwing 2-3 MPH faster. That would be pretty nice.

Dwyer has had major control issues so far this season. He hasn't been throwing his curve for strikes, which is why his SO/9 has dropped substantially. And his walk rate has gone up. If he does that for a full season, might be cause for concern.

On the flip side, the trio at High-A (Odorizzi, Sample and Melville) have been pretty good. Melville and Sample both showing signs of bounce-back.

I keep hearing about it, but honestly, I'm still not convinced. Sure, Lamb could be great, but thanks to Tommy John surgery, who knows what he'll be, not to mention out of pitching for that long.

Dwyer stinking is already a given, but what about Montgomery? He can't seem to control his breaking ball, which is obviously pretty important. Beyond those three, who else is there? Odorrizi isn't even worth talking about yet, nor is anyone else in the near future. Let me know when Montgomery starts controlling his breaking ball, Lamb DOESN'T need a major surgery, and Dwyer finally gets it. Then I might start getting excited.

I'm not saying all this to be a downer. I think we have some great position player prospects that are ready right now, but pitching wise, I'm not seeing it.

Yeah, that really grinds my gears. I'm in Springfield and apparently there's no way to get the game on TV tonight.
