Meh. Who cares. Great move. We're the best team in baseball now, on paper, to say the least.

What, in your opinion, will win us a WS?

Manaea has been hurt a lot and had the hip injury, is how the Royals got him in the first place. Still a little tougher pill to swallow. Brooks is an AAAA guy so no biggie.

He's a better chance than Manaea.

We're now clearly the best team in the league, and I think we're tied on paper with the Cardinals in MLB

Now that's a bold move. I hate that Zobrist doesn't have another year of control. This could blow up in our face, but no one can accuse Dayton of being too passive. That's for sure.

The point of building the farm system was to:

1) Build a competitive team at the major league level. Check.

2) Create enough depth to trade for pieces when the time was right. Check.

The only caveat to me is that we're getting cash back in both of these deals. Would we have needed to give up this level of talent if Glass would have eaten the remaining cost of the two guys coming our way?

Cueto made sense...a utility player? Not really.

I think this was the real motivation behind the deal.

This move offers depth at second base, right field, and left field if something derails Gordo's comeback.

Losing Manaea hurts, of course, especially for an organization like the Royals. But I am willing to trust that DM is comfortable enough with the starting pitching depth down in the farm.

You have to trust him but Manea? Ok...go for it

You realize who KC trots out to 2B and RF every night, right?

Who has been more productive than Omar and Rios and can play both positions.
