Of course they are. Have two of the three top teams in the AFC bidding for him now.

He may "know people in each NFL city", but that doesn't mean that he has "insiders" in each NFL city.

Just because it's reported that way doesn't make it true. It could be just a smoke screen to drive up the price.

jerryaldini 03-25-2023 07:54 AM

Just shows how unreliable all this information has been. Where are Schefter and Rap?

What? There's been plenty of reports that both the Chiefs and Bills are pursuing him. You think all those are bullshit?

FloridaMan88 03-25-2023 08:14 AM

Seems like this is going to drag out and not get done until closer to the draft.

Another month of Twitter rumors… oh joy.

Sassy Squatch 03-25-2023 08:18 AM

It's Arizona. They sat on a Peterson trade for years until they got literally nothing for him leaving. If that's the price just move on.

Rainbarrel 03-25-2023 08:26 AM

They don't have to move him or maybe don't want too. Tease us NFL you...yous! Attention whores, hosting SB wasn't enough

No way Andy is comfortable with the WR room as-is. That's just coachspeak he's putting out there for the rubes.

But yeah, Veach isn't going to panic. He's going to play his hand. That could take some time.

But he's going to sign a veteran WR. I just decided that among those that are left, the only one worth taking is DHop. The rest are either JAGs, don't really fit the offense, or it's Odell. I'm not an Odell fan and he's more limited than DHop, so it's obviously Dhop.

Deandre can take up the slack production-wise, and he can mentor the young WR room for a couple seasons. He can make a big difference in their development, and how long it takes for them to develop.

That's why you have guys like that in the room. Otherwise, the young guys have to figure it out largely on their own. Which takes a lot longer.

So DHop it is.:thumb:

Travis Kelce can school any young guys in the art of receiving. That guy knows just as much as DHop in regards to receiving.

Ha! This DHop situation reminded me of that and I pulled that thread up yesterday. We had my buddy who was the executive producer for the Phoenix Fox affiliate giving us updates when they sent a news crew out to State Farm Stadium because PP was trying to strong arm his way to KC. That never worked out, and now my buddy took his 25 yr retirement package - so I have no inside sources. Which puts me and Petro in the same boat I guess.

MahomesMagic 03-25-2023 08:45 AM

Something not adding up here.

Seems like market based on other trades for recent receivers should be a 3rd or 4th round pick as the main asset offered for Hopkins.

That no one paid that must mean the market for him is thin, with few actual bidders.

Sounds like AZ desperate to get more than what's possible.

O.city 03-25-2023 09:00 AM

No way anyone is paying that

Lol, good luck with that Cards.

No one is gonna pay anything close to that, so they’ll either have to keep him right up until the draft and then auction him off to the highest bidder (which won’t be anything near what they want) or they will dig their heals in and continue to be the dumb organization that they are and stuck with a high priced WR on a rebuilding team that’s going nowhere. My guess is they cave before the draft. (4th and a 6th is my prediction)

But Veach should stay off the phones with them at this point. Moving on . . . . .

The Franchise 03-25-2023 09:19 AM

So he’s not going to get traded until either right before the draft…or right after. And no one is paying that with his contract, you ****ing idiots.
