If only Anchorage had found some weapons for him to throw to then he might be downright scary... If only... |

Then look at his 2013 figures. They're better pretty much across the board. Oh sure, Clay will dismiss them as products of Jamaal, but the aggregate figures are the aggregate figures. I see few reasons to believe he won't be as good a sandbox QB this season as he has been for the last 2. |

This ain't 2012 Alex Smith. |

Again, it's the 2011 Alex Smith that really kicked ass and took names. The 2012 model was very good as well, but he doesn't have to get to that level to duplicate the success he had in our inaugural season. He only needs to match his 2011 numbers. And he's pretty close to that. But hey, the good news is that both Gerald McCoy and Robert Quinn broke fifty on the PFF pass-rushing ranks this week. Jared Odrick cracked the top 5 in pass-rushers among DTs and Chandler Jones got his 12 sack of the season. I've seen Alex Smith deal with pressure up the middle and it ain't pretty. I think if anyone's prepared for him, it's the Donkeys. |

So Josh Gordon and Keenan Allen...better, then?
Yeah, probably better. Shit -didn't realize you also grabbed Warford in the offseason, that should help your interior line a lot. I'm not gonna lie, I'm damn pleased to not be in the North division of the Lunar conference. Lordy, that is a disgusting set of teams. |
Well, we've sent a representative to the conference championships both years and attended one super bowl match up.
Duluth has been the team most suffering as RainMan has put together a good squad each year, just tough to win a lot of games in that division. And this year it looks like Portland is loading up to make a serious run. |
Duluth's going to get a much stronger performance out of Rivers this year. And Portland's going to get great play from Rodgers until he goes down. At that point I figure McCown will come in and pull an Alex D. Smith and use his great numbers over a short period of time to translate into destroying worlds whenever he's on the field (at least I hope so, I've tied myself to this scenario in league 2).
Clay, though it pains me, has probably made his team better than last year, though Spiller's return to the world of mortals will hurt him, as will Bradshaw's injury. Brady looked like he may be pedestrian until he got pissed about 6 weeks ago and started eating souls again. You still have that defense but now with a better O-line and improved weapons at WR. It's 4 loaded teams, all of which appear to be SB worthy. Like I said, I don't envy any of you. |
I think the Tony Gonzalez acquisition will really put me over the top. I didn't have a guy like that last year. Brandon Myers was crap.
Let's not forget I get Jason Peters back. I'm also anticipating much improved play from my linebackers, who have all beasted this year. Much deeper at DT, too, and Brockers has only gotten better. Talib will help. Oh, and Mathis. Robert ****ing Mathis. Pepper your angus. |
Free agents are up.

God, Daryl Smith is just destroying people this year.
107 tackles, 4.5 sacks, 3 INT, 18 PD and 2 FF. Should be interesting to see how upgrading from "meh" to WORLD EATER at MLB does. |
