2007 Elite 8 as a 1 seed
2006 1st Round as a 4 seed
2005 1st Round as a 3 seed
2004 Elite 8 as a 4 seed
2003 Championship as a 2 seed
2002 Final 4 as a 1 seed
2001 Sweet 16 as a 4 seed
2000 2nd Round as a 8 seed
1999 2nd Round as a 6 seed
They choked for two years yes but overall they have had some pretty nice runs I don't see any number one seeds getting choked away. Not to mention we went through a coaching change.

I think you covered it, and the last statement seems to get lost among everyone, not just the morons.
It's funny that rival fans have higher expectations for Kansas than Kansas fans do, yet we're the arrogant ones. Kansas has lost to the National Champion 3 times in the last ten years, and the runner up twice; and according to your post, they've won a few big games, too. But wait, we should have 5 titles by now and be counting on #6! After all, look at the leaderboard of National Champions, it's not like they're hard to come by.

This is really what gets me... I expect the crap from the idiots, but I heard an ESPN guy the other day say, pretty much word for word, "The number one seed is a huge burden on Coach Self because of the embarrassing back-to-back first round losses a couple of years ago".
Whiskey Tango Foxtrot?
So, yet again, we're the arrogant asshole fans that get the coaching change and having Roy's players trying to play Self's style blah blah blah; yet it's the media who 1) can't give Self time to bring in his own players, and 2) realize it's not like we had EE aspirations either of those years?
