I still don't understand why it took so long for Pioli to fire that jackass.

Herm got Peterson fired a year early & all it cost was a bungled 2009 draft. A bargin IMO

Pioli coouldn't get into Herman ****ing Edwards office to fire him because of all the hot air blowing out of there.

Way to toot your own horn Herm. As a player, you were pretty good. How'd your coaching career go?

FYP

When I first saw this thread my first thought was man now he has lost his ESPN gig! Then I clicked on the thread and saw that it was about his HC job in KC. I guess you guys still are not in a forgiving mood...

This is more about the fact that there is absolutely no football to talk about right now, so someone just brought a feel good thread back to the front to kill some time.

God Bless Herm, he did atleast a few things right here.

1) get your quick & talented kids on the field asap.

2) Jamaal Charles, nuff said.

3) play tough D.

He got the kids on the field, I'll give him credit for that,

But I give credit to Kuharich and Chuck Cook for Charles.

And tough D when Herman ****ing Edwards was coach?

Were you high?

They sure were tough as they racked up a league record with fewest sacks.

His 2008 Defensive Campaign was almost as terrible as Vermeil's record setting 2002 Abomination. Some coaches couldn't achieve that with their own hand picked players if they tried. Never mind it Herm's THIRD year...

I honestly believe his desire & scheme was solid, but he was still sifting through all of the leftover trash, adding in talent like Dorsey & Flowers where he could.

At the time? yes, its possible i was high lol, but i finally growed up at the tender age of 39-40.

ps - fair point on Kuharich & Cook being the main factor in his drafting, later, Herm either didnt see JC's talent or didnt trust a track guy.

GloryDayz 07-11-2011 09:47 PM

And I think it's time we throw Pontius Pilate under the bus for some of his choices too..
