The guy avgs a 90mph heater..........that's ****ing nothing at the ML level.

It was up until this year.

His problem is control, not velocity.

Sure-Oz 05-24-2011 08:20 PM

Horrid pitch an 0-2 fastball, really

His fastball has never been blow you away style, what 90-92 maybe? he has always had 3-4 pitches...what does he throw besides the fastball now?

The fastball is the only pitch he can control now and when you can't blow it by guys well you get rocked...

Got home just in time to see the game tying "hit" and the game winning HR.

What fun?

Mr. Laz 05-24-2011 08:22 PM

just put Soria on IR already and find out WTF is the problem.

either something is wrong with his arm or his head ... so find out already.

Soria's troubles proving why losing teams should work hard to trade a closer at his peak to maximize value. Question now... Crow to close?

GloryDayz 05-24-2011 08:22 PM

We've seen it "so many times"???? When recently? This team sucks the root! I think we get to witness, perhaps, another 100-loss season!

I'm with Steven St. John. Control freak pitchers don't lose their touch unless they are hurt. Even money... Soria to DL by Friday? less than a minute ago via web

THIS

The guy is a closer who has had TJ. If you can get a haul, you make the trade.

The "heater" is not the same. It doesn't have nearly the movement that it used to.

Al Bundy 05-24-2011 08:27 PM

Soria isn't taking any heat on the Royals live.

GloryDayz 05-24-2011 08:28 PM

Tell soria he's done before he gets in the shower!! And Betemit too. Let the locker room see them pack their bags on the way out, then tell them who wants to be the next to pack his stuff. Nobody's looking at them right now, so you might as well punch your ticket here (in hopes of a trade), but if you F-up, you'll never be seen by the other teams unless they buy 4-dollar AA tickets a LOT.. They're all expendable...

Sure-Oz 05-24-2011 08:28 PM

Robert Ford of Royals postgame defends soria as usual...blame betimit and horrible pitch selection.

Sorry 10 walks in 18 ip and 12 ks isnt working, oh and now a 5+ era
