Yep. The quality of wins OU can potentially get are high, he's right about that, but when voters compare the 1-loss teams they also look at the loss, and losing at home to Texas Tech is a lot worse than losing on the road to Michigan State, as an example.

you give voters too much credit. for example, many coaches in the poll don't even complete their own ballot. Those that do often have nothing more than the final score to go on....they don't have the time nor inclination to delve any deeper. As the season progresses all they see is the L count.
