Chiefs fans always amaze me with their ability to settle.

Haley was the former. Crennel is the latter.

My concern too. I think thats what makes him such an exceptional coordinator.

The other thing that bothers me is... We are taking Romeo away from teaching. He will be less involved with scheming the defense. We're taking him away from stuff he does exceptionally well to stuff he is questionable at.

I don't know. Maybe he's learned his lesson. But I have to agree that I think he might just be too nice a guy.

It's a skill honed from decades of settling.

Let's see what they do about the QB situation. That would be an opportunity to show that they aren't treading water.

But them more decisions that Pioli makes, the more his critics are proven correct.

Agreed. I have felt for quite a while that we might see more play like we saw against the Raiders, than we saw against the Packers.

And OTWP58, some Crow was eaten, at least I had a nice large helping. Here you go.

No way I want to settle for Romeo...just knew this was going to happen from the start. I'm shocked McDummy isn't coming here, Pioli was so close to having his wet dream come true.

Pioli is such a joke...conducts a few lame ass interviews to try and give the perception he was going to look elsewhere when it was always going to be Romeo.

Sadly Clark Hunt is too stupid to and has been seduced by the fraud of the "Patriot's Way".

I guess. And I thank him for that. But if he was any kind of head coach, he would have had more success with the rebuild than he did.

I'm surprised at the number of people who took this post seriously.

****.

This is a move that will sell tickets but it won't get us a super bowl. Guarantee the chiefs play very good football next year. Maybe decen football the year after. But by year three they're going to get sloppy.

There's a reason Romeo is popular.

You guys are hilarious. Nostradumbass.

BigChiefFan 01-07-2012 01:30 PM

I hope Cincy and Detroit win their games, so Clark and the entire franchise can be bitch-slapped back to reality. We are a laughingstock and it's hard to continue to be supportive when they take a half-assed approach of winning it all. Forty years of disappointment.

It's not looking at the future. It's looking at the past.

Romeo has done a ton that gives us an idea of what to expect.

I see 7 wins. 2-4 max against the AFC West and maybe 1-5 against the other road teams.

Please stop with the "tough schedule" shit. WE DON'T KNOW SHIT ABOUT NEXT SEASON AT THIS MOMENT!! For ****'s sake there is a playoff turnover rate of 5-6 teams a year.

Clark's not stupid, he just doesn't give a **** about anything but the bottom line.

Yep.

This team isn't winning any championships until the Hunt family sells this team or dies in a plane crash

Or could he be giving Pioli his last shot? I am through defending Pioli.

I could be wrong, but I imagine those HC interviews were Pioli trying to convince Clark, he was doing his best, to find the right guy.

Like others, I am not at all excited about this hire. Players coaches have never worked in KC, they have failed miserably. I can't think of an example where they have worked.

My frustration with this team, watching them make the same mistakes over and over again, expecting different results, has freed up a lot of my commitment to them.
