I'm not saying you're wrong, but the only comparison made (tackles per miss) actually favored Siler.

And I've explained why.

Some of us actually watch these games.

No offense but I would say you probably don't watch every snap ofevery chiefs game.

Most of us do.

You have been here long enough that you should know that if a member of every faction of chiefs planet are arguing and ON THE SAME SIDE you shouldn't saddle up the other side and ride into battle on their opinions in your white armor...

But not at a level that would indicate anything substantial.

That's the whole ****ing point.

And because Siler isn't even a starter, and in fact plays less than 40 percent of the snaps DJ plays in a given year, it's an even dumber comparison.

If Siler played 1,000 snaps he might very well miss MORE tackles because he's not a guy who's good at making open-field tackles. He's a line-of-scrimmage thumper.

The whole thing is ****ing stupid and based entirely on 2009 Derrick Johnson, who was a real shitty tackler.

DJ isn't that guy anymore.

To put it in baseball terms, you were arguing range v. glove and acting as if they were the same. Also, while I've watched most of the Chiefs games in the past few years, that's not really at issue here since I'm not saying that BlackBob is right in his claim.

Ming the Merciless 09-04-2012 07:15 PM

here is the thing Black Bob doesn't want to address or talk about

the real issue: stops

Ok let's talk baseball.

Escobar and DJ fight the same problem illusion wise.

Both get to the object when others wouldn't have a chance. Why knock them if sometimes they don't bring it in.

If another player could get there they might miss and not finish either

That doesn't seem to do what you claim it does.

The ability to get to the ball is one thing. The ability to field the ball is another.

The ability to get to the runner is one thing. The ability to tackle the runner is another.

You keep trying to equate them. They aren't the same.
