Dude, everyone was just ****ing fine with Romeo being hired for the most part.

A few people were WTF over it, but the koolaid was being GUZZLED around here.

As soon as we beat Green Bay it was obvious we were screwed.

The people that were against hiring Romeo were in the MINORITY last winter.

Dude, I came back here during that time after Haley was fired, I had been gone all season.

I was foaming-at-the-mouth mad about the thought of Romeo getting hired, so I remember clearly - there weren't very many people that disagreed with me, at all.

For example, around the league, Pioli's bullshit has put the Chiefs' reputation in the gutter. We didn't know until it was too late. Until Manning laughed at us and the only coaches we could get were Romeo and Daboll. But everyone else knew what was up, which is why nobody worth a shit would come here. There was an "avoid KC" consensus.

If a similar consensus comes to be held that it'd be heartless or low-class to hand out pink slips a month after what happened in that parking lot with Belcher, then where the team's reputation is concerned, firing Pioli won't be the slate-cleaning reset button we want it to be. And I'm not saying there is such a sentiment. But if.

And there's never a good time to come off looking callous or low-class, but it would be especially bad timing now when there are going to be a bunch of teams looking for new coaches and front offices. Our search for a new GM could end up like our pursuit of Manning. And who do we end up with then? Who's the Brady Quinn of GM candidates?

Dude, if the media and fans in midwestern Kansas City think it's cold and/or classless, what do you think the East Coast media is going to think?

Firing these guys now is going to be viewed as inhumane.

I don't remember it being like that. Certainly there were some saying "he never had this talent in CLE" but I think a fair amount were afraid the end of last season would earn him a job he didn't deserve. We knew he was hired because he would be a yes man. Maybe it was less than I think, but I always thought the supporters were the minority. There must have been a poll at some point.

This.
