Did you get your rifle back yet?

I remember that. Glad you're around. We need some others to come back.

Chick-Fil-A is one of my favorite restaurants.

It is by far the (consistently) cleanest fast food establishment I've ever been to and the customer service is grade A, 100% every time I visit.

I usually just go with the chicken sandwich, nix the pickles, with some waffle fries and dip into the Polynesian sauce which is amaaaazing.

MMMMMMM.... I do always crave it on Sundays though.

ThaVirus 08-08-2013 10:56 PM

... And, you know, I actually respect that they stay closed on Sundays.

I'm not really religious myself, but I like the fact that they stick to their guns to something that has to cost them millions over the course of a year.

:grr: Very sore subject. My folks were up this past weekend. Dad forgot to grab it because mom had him side tracked with loading crap up that she tried to send back with me over the 4th that I left behind for a reason; I neither wanted nor needed it. So my friggen AR gets left behind. And yes, I know I forgot it myself. However, I forgot it because I was busy grabbing OTHER GUNS that had been stored down there. I didn't forget it because of kitchen utensils, towels, clothes I don't wear and fucking board games.

They will be back up in November; dad has assured me me it will make that trip. I intend to make sure it will by calling every single fucking day the week before they leave to remind them of it.

Life happened. I'm sorry I let it get in the way. I love this place.

LMAO

And that sucks about the rifle. Oh well. At least you'll save money on ammo!

That is something that a lot of people make fun of. But I agree, holding fast to your beliefs versus selling out is commendable. And would be even if I didn't agree with those beliefs.

I can tolerate differences of oppinion, so long as you actually act upon what you say you believe in.

Simply Red 08-08-2013 11:03 PM

More good have come of this place than bad.

Not really. Weekend before last I was in Bass Pro and saw they actually had it I stock. So with the rifle all the way down in Tejas, I bought some anyway.

I always love it. Even when it is frustratingly bad, I fucking love it. I try to explain it to people who know nothing about it, and I can tell they just don't grasp the awesomeness of this place as I explain it to them. Probably my poor command of the English language. That, or they are really dense and wouldn't fit in here any way.

At least you'll still have it.

More or less, yes.

Frazod 08-08-2013 11:19 PM

Well, I'm off to bed.

Oh, and I was planning to eat at Chick Fil A for the first time tonight, but the logistics didn't work. So I'll have to try it at some point this weekend. It's really been bumped to the top of my must-do list.

And when I take my first bite, I'll think of all of the butthurt liberal polesmokers in Iowa City that wouldn't approve, and have a good chuckle over it. :thumb:

Goodnight!
