Yeah, but I brought the subject up last week. There's two ways to build a team:

1. Pay a "Franchise QB" $20 million+ a year.
2. Build a great team around a good QB and pay him $8-12 a year.

IMO, the Ravens overpaid and the Falcons overpaid. With Mike Brown's history of being "cheap", I'd be shocked if the Bengals overpaid, especially with Dalton's inconsistent performances despite being surrounded by stellar players.

I know, I think those writers read cp.

We just had big conversations about it on here, then that

Maybe. Smith doesn't exactly have talent on the perimeter, either.

I'm not a Matt Ryan fan, so that's a tough sell for me.

I'd say the most accurate argument on Ryan is that he's only as good as his talent.

He's also been as good as his talent.

Simple solution.

Alex is a more complex matter...

There inlies the problem.

With paying him that much, it will be tougher to put better players out there.

Their biggest problem is injures and a craptastic D.

Their offense (when healthy) is good enough to win playoff games...

Right now, maybe.

But gonzo is gone, roddy is looking like he's slowing and their ol and rbs are crap.

Jackson has been a huge disappointment for them.

Jackson is spent.

Gonzo is gone.

Roddy won't ever be what he was.

They still have a very solid 2nd HB and a deep WR bench.

They need OL and playmakers (they have NO ONE) on D...
