He was.

This might make some people angry.....

Why? Just because they got offers it doesn't mean they got any GOOD offers. There's no reason to trade down just for the sake of trading down.

Is there any possibility of trading Hali this year?

Maybe we can get rid of the "No Holding Calls Ever" curse by getting rid of him.

Cardinals only got a 3rd to move down 7 spots. I don't think we got any good offers.

@cover32_KC: Dee Ford measurables: 35 1/2" vert, 10'4" broad, 29 reps, 4.54 40. Justin Houston measurables: 36 1/2" vert, 10'5" broad, 30 reps, 4.68 40.

This is CP.

If we drafted 6 All-Pro's, people would still melt down.

I like this pick, which is a little scary.

I wouldn't move down more than 3 or so spots for a 3rd round pick.

Hali played DT in subs in college. He's very versatile. I wouldn't at all be surprised to see them move him forward and slide Ford into his spot.

I'm pretty sure Hali was a full time DT until his senior year at Penn St.

Discuss Thrower 05-08-2014 10:27 PM

It's a bad pick if they could've gotten him later.

O.city 05-08-2014 10:27 PM

Tamba showed up to workouts weighing 284, which everyone is chirping at him being over weight fatty.

Do the realize he was listed to be playing at 275 last year?

That's because you don't have a clue about draft value.

He's like a faster Houston... I'm loving this guy more and more.

mcaj22 05-08-2014 10:27 PM

I love this pick if its to replace Hali

I hate this pick if its because they cant afford to extend Justin Houston

that simple

RunKC 05-08-2014 10:27 PM

Just for those keeping up....

Vance Walker was one of the best pass rushing DT's last year and will line up in same spot most of the time.
Mike DeVito is working on getting his pass rush technique down and losing weight to gain speed.
Mike Catapano showed nice flashes last year and they think he can be a nice rotational guy.
Dee Ford is a very quick and proven pass rusher.

Our pass rush was good last year until injuries happened. I'm VERY excited about the pass rush this year. This is going to be tremendous for our secondary. Get a DB in round 3 or 4 and this defense looks much improved.
