The defense winning a play off game is an absolute death-knell for KC having a legit QB anytime in the near future.
Is one victory worth no championships? And before you question this, keep in mind that I do NOT have sit here and hypothesize Alex Smith improving and leading this offense. That leopard ain't changing spots at this point in his career. And, AND....... If we subscribe to the theory that "franchise QB's are like finding leprechauns with pots of gold"(!), can we at least admit that above-average, or mid tier average are NOT hard to find? |

"Fisher will look to pick up where he left off last season, when after giving up seven quarterback hits in the first two games, he surrendered just four total throughout the final 14 games." http://www.kcchiefs.com/news/article...5bd-46fa-a3d2- 99% of his struggles last year were because he got overpowered. I'm very eager to see how much his strength training helped him. |
That's not even close to being right.

Sherrod is not good anymore... It's worth throwing at the wall, but don't expect any great results.

His rookie year, he gave up a cumulative 47 total QB pressures from sacks, hits and pressures. Last year Fisher struggled the first 2 weeks giving up 10 combined pressures, most likely because Jeff Allen was lost for the season and he had to adjust playing with the worst G in NFL history. The last 14 weeks, Fisher gave up a combined 32 pressures with the same snap count from his rookie season on the left side. And his worst game from that stretch was when he gave up 5 QB hurries and a sack in Pittsburgh because James Harrison is one of the strongest players in the NFL and took advantage of Fisher's weakness. Fisher also didn't have one negative run blocking score in the last 8 games. The guy clearly improved from his rookie season. No he wasn't setting the world on fire, but he improved a lot considering his shoulder ****ed his weight training over and he had the worst G in NFL history right next to him. We should expect Fisher to be much better this season and look like a top 10 tackle. |

In fact, he gave up more sacks than any of the other 32 top ranked OT's on the list and was also rated ahead of Tyron Smith. Their rankings don't make sense to me. |
