I recognize Smith's limitations, most notably an inability to challenge the back end of a defense deep. But Smith isn't the only limitation affecting the Chiefs offense in 2016.

The Chiefs are ranked 31st in drop % with 26 drops on 501 pass attempts for a 5.1 drop %. Last season, the Chiefs were 9th with a 3.5 drop % with 16 drops on 463 pass attempts.

I know timing is critical, but it's been noted on several threads that key drops have cost the Chiefs wins in close games. Add in the lack of a feature RB and below average play at the guard position and you get an offense that scores 31 TDs in 15 games.

Yep. Seth Keysor is right, Maclin played to his expectations that game. If Morse even bumps the rusher even in the slightest, that's an 80 yard TD pass to Maclin.

The strategy was not focused on going after the corners this game, it was exposing the LB and safety which Harris and Kelce did a great job doing
