Or maybe not.

The Chargers may have the weakest fan base in all of the NFL.

Tough to have a loyal fanbase, let alone a growing one, when the majority of residents are transplants. SD is just weird like that, along with such a large number of military stationed there. It's a city in constant flux in terms of low numbers of residents who have generational roots there.

It would never happen, but after what went down with Kroenke in STL, if the Chargers ownership would come to STL and really embrace the city and fans, and put a winning team out there, it would work.

This move was about the Spanos racking in PSL+suite money.

The Rams are going to suck for awhile, so the Chargers have an opportunity to generate enough interest to sell contracts to people if they can shit out a playoff berth between now and 2019.

Not impossible if they can find a S&C coach worth a ****, and a much better Offensive Line.

Once the suite contracts and PSL agreements are in place, they could give a **** less if people go to the games or not. They're legally bound to pay for the shit and they just made a bunch of free ****ing money.

The Chargers brand will quickly become a high end value and they will eventually sell it off for insane profit.

That's why you force an entire city into a situation they can't remedy, ignore a bunch of influential owners that say don't do it and piss off a city. **** you, about to get paid.

Chargers in the LA stadium is almost like an NFL team at Sporting park.

A pretty damn disgusting yet plausible scenario you laid out here... where is Goodell to bring common sense into it?

Rozelle and Tagliabue must be rolling in their graves, they NEVER would've wanted a cluster**** like this

Yes Spanos suks, love the Chargers, but will never follow Raiders or Donkeys, so staying with the West, so I will go to the charger vs Chief game wearing the Red jersey...Hope Spanos goes bankrupt and loses the Chargers to England..Go Chiefs!
