The 2018 4th rounder is the real slap in the ****ing face.

Rams just COULDN'T part with that lousy ass 3rd of theirs. Traded a billion picks to get Jared Goff (who STILL isn't in the clear yet as a pro QB) and are biting on this Peters deal, but couldn't be persuaded to wretch that 3rd out of their jewy little hands?

Three 3rds would have been tits. Given us a lot of flexibility. Two 3rds and two 4ths is a giant slap in the face comparatively.

At that price, I would have just kept Peters and benched him the whole year until some team had a horrific CB injury and became desperate enough to give up a 1st.

Could be but it’s harder to fill a stadium with a 6-10 team.

How many W's can a single cornerback be responsible for? You can avoid them the same way teams in baseball can pitch around guys.

I loved Peters, think he's one of the best guys in the league and probably on a HOF trajectory. But I don't think he's going to make a huge impact in the amount of wins or losses the team gets by himself.

I agree but then again they had to pick up his $9 million dollar 5th year option in May. I don't know...

There should be fewer butts in the seats because this is an inept franchise that literally can't do anything right.

Well there is no arguing that.

You trying to tell us that all of the turnovers that Peter's had did not in any way help KC win any games? I can instantly remember his strip on Kelvin Benjamin that put KC in field position to win the game.

Nice precedent that the Chiefs are allowing their players to set.

To be fair, I think most teams would do the same thing.

When you have a guy in the locker room, feuding with others in the organization, requesting a trade, and everything else - you don't want that guy to be around your other players.

When you have one player rotting, you want to get that rot away from the others.

We also don't know how serious this was behind the scenes. We know he requested a trade, but its possible he told them he wouldn't report to camp if he wasn't traded.

I think Peters pretty much put the Chiefs in a no win situation.

Of course, I could be wrong as well, just my two cents.

Bewbies 02-26-2018 02:33 PM

Maybe Veach wanted a 2nd rounder and couldn't get it if he demanded a 3 this year? Shit, I'd rather have a 2 next year than a 3 this year.

Let us remember what he said when the Chiefs are being torched on both sides of the field and can't buy a pick.
