Very sad. You'd think people would learn to stop drinking and driving at some point.

Bugeater 11-02-2021 08:28 PM

All you mother****ers who think he shouldn't do time, look at the what a RAV4 is supposed to look like, and then look at the one in the crash and imagine the impact it would take to do that damage. And then when you're done with that, imagine a woman BURNING TO DEATH inside of it. And then **** off...

Oh by the gods. That's just horrible.

It's bad enough someone died. That they likely suffered an agonizing death is just disgusting and horrifying and sad.

And not likely to help Ruggs steer to the lighter end of the sentencing spectrum if he's found guilty.

Are people here actually saying he shouldn't do time? For real?

These people are deeply flawed. Ruggs definitely needs to do time. We have a division to win.

This is a moronic stance.

You can't take someone's life and get a "welp, it's ok if it's just this one time." Life has consequence and your decisions make those consequences for which you must deal with them.

Are you still living with your parents? Just asking because your stance is very immature for an adult.

I never once said he shouldn't do time.

Maybe if you would get your emotions in check you'd see my posts were more about not being so quick to judge a young kid who drove drunk, something God knows how many young kids do every weekend.

Have you ever had a few beers and then driven your car?

I dont think people are trying to say he shouldnt go to jail but they are trying to be empathic toward Ruggs. Ruggs had a choice the lady who got hit and burned up in a car had no choice. I have no sympathy for Ruggs our actions have consequences. He should never be allowed in the NFL again and should be subjected to the maximum penalty of the law.

I'm sure all of us have the major difference is we didnt slam into another person's car going a significant speed killing them. Your argument is bullshit

Why is it you think other people like yourself being selfish and dumb means it’s more deserving of being understanding and not judging?

I’ve also seen your posts about him being drunk and not thinking leading to a mistake. That’s ridiculous. Can’t make arrangements for a ride? Did he get all of the sudden drunk before having a chance to think? Most likely this isn’t the first time he’s driven irresponsibly and probably had similar thought patterns as you the next morning each time to downplay it.

Sure, and those were bad decisions. Had something happened, I would have dealt with the consequence. It's an even worse decision nowadays seeing the consequences of doing it. And yes, making examples out of people does help curb this behavior. I don't drive if I'm drinking anymore and have spent hundreds on Uber to avoid this behavior. There isn't a DO OVER.

I also didn't drive recklessly when I saw drinking and from reports he was not only impaired but driving recklessness. Reckless driving causing injury is a crime itself, even if he wasn't impaired.
