Loved cocaine. So much it scared me. You feel like you can take on the world and just have so much energy and focus. Lets run,.....run like we are lions tigers and bears!

Loved Adderall. Gotta wonder how all of these people are running around having scripts to addy for decades. How does that not take a toll on your heart & mind? Sure does feel good. I feel entrenched in whatever I am doing, which is very healthy mentally but sometimes there is weird brain fog even though I feel like I'm in perfect clarity.

Like alcohol. Makes me confident but at a cost. Out of any drug it makes me feel the worst the next day.

Did not prefer valium/benzos. Just made me kind of veg out. Calm but I'm already calm.

Very much disliked shrooms. Did not like the hallucinations and then sudden visions/colors I would see.

HATED weed/cannibas. Makes me just want to sit and look at shit. Then I get paranoid and think people are looking at me. After all of that I then just want to sleep. Quite possibly the worst drug I've ever taken.

I find the opposite to be true. Uppers>downers.

I never was a good sleeper especially as I started getting older, I prefer downers but I have taken uppers to help me work in the past.

Long term use of amphetamines, including Adderall, absolutely does take a toll. I have a couple of family members that were prescribed as a kid and still took after they were adults. They were almost catatonic at times but as they became older, the meds got taken away. One of them is basically non-functional after taking Adderall from age 13 to age 25.

That's a big part of what got me to quit taking opiods. I was taking a weeks worth of pills in less than a day and it didn't have any effect on the pain I was in.

I took them for 2 years while I worked a midnight to eight shift as a network administrator, while working days at a farm for rent. At the same time taking college classes and helping to raise my family of three. Then, I jacked up my back, and my doctor gave me an unlimited prescription of muscle relaxers. Mix them together and I was ****ed up big time.

With the help of my wife, I was able to get a great daytime job programming for local company, and I actually dropped out of college, quit the farming job and weaned myself off the pills.

I’d still party with my close friends every once in awhile. I mean, they’d hand me 4 of something and tell me to take it easy, just one a day or something. Hell, I’d have all 4 ate by the end of the day. But now that I’ve got the bigC, just a toke or a half of a magic cookie every few days.

Although my doctors keep offering me shit to plug into my port I keep turning them down. Kinda takes the fun out of it.

After reading all the posts, I've come to realize we got a lot of reformed junkies and drug addicts on this site and possibly a few active ones as well.
