If they can't get shit for him this year at trade deadline then keep him another year and ship him off.

Seitzer is working with him to shorten his swing, he will get back to a 260 to 280 hitter

He's at, what, .280 with 9 homers and 34 RBI? He's got to be pretty valuable at this point, assuming he doesn't completely swirl down the drain.

Not the build you're necessarily looking for in a #1 starter/high pick, but hard to argue with the results. His warm up is interesting, as for his first warm up toss on the mound, he gets a running start and just lets loose a throw as hard as he can possibly throw it.

Bauer dominant again : Bauer sets K record

Guy throws mid 90s, and has an excellent curve and change. I'll be thrilled if the Royals draft this guy.

He already has swirled down the drain. He's had maybe one good game over the last week.

And hey, if I hadn't been told at least five or six times over the last three decades "to wait a few more years" I might believe them. I just think this franchise is hopeless under David Glass. I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about that.

You can always play with your cats. That's sounds like "The Summer Of George".

At least when my cat hacks up a furball, he doesn't try to sugar coat it.

A couple of good articles on the draft from the Star. First one is about Starling...

Second one is about the Top 6 prospects in the draft tomorrow night...

Too bad I don't know what I'm talking about.

You seem to understand just fine what you can see. What you can't see, though, is lost on you.

I really hope Schaum is wrong about what the Royals do at No. 5... has them taking Barnes and passing not only on Bundy but also on Anthony Rendon.

I will vomit if that happens. Bundy will move just as quickly as Barnes - who is a big, hard thrower that needs to refine his secondary pitches.

In other news, it looks like the Royals are about to finalize a deal with Elier Hernandez out of the DR. Centerfielder with plus-power potential and plus-range.

So are you saying starling is out?

Lot of buzz on Starling to the Mariners at No. 2 right now. If they really are this close to signing Elier Hernandez - who is very similar in skill set and profile to Starling - it wouldn't surprise me if they went another direction.

I think they'll take BPA, and that might still be a hitter (Starling/Rendon). Barnes would be a big disappointment.

Reaper16 06-05-2011 05:53 PM

Barnes would be about as underwhelming a choice as Hochevar was. I'm not comparing the players, but the fanbase reaction to the pick.
