holy shit dude

the Lakers just looked lost without Kobe tonight

Hootie 04-14-2013 10:00 PM

amazing that Howard went full beast mode when they play team ball rather than Kobe ball

Yes he is. They've beaten all the top teams in the east without Rose and at times their starting 5. Hell they faced toronto a week or so ago and the entire 5 was out: Ofcourse Rose, but no Noah, Boozer, Hamilton and Deng.

I never thought they'd be lost, but I also don't think you're ever a better team without him.

Wow, I didn't realize they had dropped so far. SA @ home and @ Portland. I guess it's not totally out of the question. There's the chance LA loses and Utah wins out too, but still think it will be LA/OKC for the 3rd time in 4 years. Lakers definitely would be better off playing SA. I think OKC beats LA or GS is 4 or 5 either way.

it's a shame we won't be able to find out

I see no reason why this team couldn't have been one of those Orlando teams with Dwight being the #1 focal point rather than Kobe

Spurs are beat up they are 5-7 in Thiers last 12. Parker re injured himself. Manu is out. Diaw is out. Waived Jackson. And lakers barely won. Spurs not even close to playing elite. Golden state may run them over in the play offs.

Mother****erJones 04-14-2013 10:10 PM

They ever figure out what the hell was wrong with Howard? I haven't followed the Lakers much.

It's one game at home. Lakers in a must win situation and SA not in one. Also, no one has much film on the Lakers without Kobe yet. Howard and Gasol had been playing better with Kobe too. You don't think the Lakers win tonight with Kobe? They've been pretty hot lately with that shit bag pulling them down :)

The Lakers don't have the shooters those Orlando teams. If you were dumping Kobe's salary and picking up shooters then perhaps you have a case.

I mean I somewhat understand your point Hootie. I felt like the Lakers last year could have beat the Thunder if they would have pounded Bynum more. They definitely could make better use of their bigs, but they still need Kobe. I guess your main point is Kobe runs the show, and in turn hurts the Lakers some. I'm sure that's true to a point, but I think he's the only thing that kept them alive this year.

Not a chance. If the Warriors play them they will get swept. There is zero chance the Warriors win the series and about a 75% chance they get swept.

Yeah, I don't think the Warriors match up well with any of the top 3 seeds to be honest. Hey, at least they are headed in the right direction.

I know it won't happen.

but I'm officially cheering for Kobe to get his 6th title this year.

I'd love it.
