I almost forgot about this – did anyone hear Frank White on 810 yesterday (around 5pm)?

Early in the interview, he says Gordon needs to be moved away from batting leadoff.

Later, answering a question that had nothing to do with the lineup, he says:
- Move Gordon down to the 4 spot
- Switch Escobar and Getz (Escobar to 8, Getz to 2)
- “Let Butler, Gordon, and Frenchy drive the lineup”

Frank’s priorities seem to be off – his lineup choice is based on nothing but years of experience.

Getz for Escobar? Franceour driving the lineup?!? He deserves to be hired and re-fired for that.

In their history that run differential of +15 has only been topped three other times after nine games and it marks the ninth time they have been +10 or better. The other eight times? Ricky Henderson's best doubles year ever was 33 (he also hit a career best 28 bombs that year)...

Hosmer day-to-day with sore right quadriceps

Eric Hosmer is nursing a sore right quadriceps.
Hosmer did not play Friday and is not in action Saturday. The Royals are hoping he'll feel well enough on Sunday.

Lorenzo Cain and Alcides Escobar would both be above average leadoff hitters compared to other leadoff hitters in MLB.

If your opinion that 120 years of baseball history of putting your best OPS hitters at 3 and 4 is wrong and defies the math, then I have no argument...we just have different opinions.

But if you're like every big league manager over the past SEVERAL decades...

there is no reason are lineup shouldn't be
